Heading north from Durango on US Highway 550, Durango Dash delivers roll-off dumpsters through the Animas Valley to Hermosa, up to the Glacier Club and Tamarron area, and on to Purgatory Resort and Cascade Village. Every rental is flat-rate, with up to 14 days and 1.5 tons included.
Where we deliver along US 550
- Hermosa and the Animas Valley: Hermosa is about nine miles north of Durango, where the Durango & Silverton train has a water stop. Valley neighborhoods include:
- Dalton Ranch
- Hermosa Vista
- Waterfall Village
- Animosa and Albrecht along the Animas River and Hermosa Creek
- Glacier Club and Tamarron: resort communities between Durango and Purgatory.
- Purgatory and Cascade:
- Condos and townhomes at Purgatory Resort and Cascade Village.
- Newer single-family subdivisions across the highway, like Engineer Village and Tacoma Village.
Common projects up here
- Condo and townhome renovations: kitchens, baths, flooring and furniture swaps, often on a tight schedule between ski seasons.
- New construction and additions in the subdivisions near Purgatory.
- Valley-home remodels, garage cleanouts and ranch-property cleanups in the Hermosa area.
Which size?
- 15 yard (16' L x 45" H): a condo or single-room remodel. Its compact footprint fits tighter spots.
- 20 yard (16' L x 56" H): the same footprint with more capacity. Good for a full remodel or cleanout.
- 30 yard (18' L x 7.5' H): new construction and large renovations.
Placement tips: HOAs come first
- Building HOA and master association: most resort-area properties have a building HOA. Purgatory Resort properties also have a master association, the Durango Mountain Master Association. Get approval for the placement spot and dates before you book. Tamarron condos have their own owners' association.
- Shared lots: in shared parking areas, confirm with your HOA or property manager that the space is free for the whole rental.
- County roads: off-resort properties are in unincorporated La Plata County. Keep the dumpster on your property, not on county roads or shoulders.
- Rear-door loading: leave about 7½ feet clear behind the dumpster. We can set it on boards to protect pavers or asphalt.
