How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Durango?

Flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees: 15 yard — $545, 20 yard — $580, 30 yard — $780. Every rental includes delivery, pickup, up to 14 days, and 1.5 tons of disposal.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Up to 14 days is included with every rental. If your project runs long, extensions are $25 per day — just let us know.

What can’t go in the dumpster?

We’re not able to accept any of the following:

Hazardous waste · concrete · dirt · electronic waste · liquids · paint (unless fully dried) · cleaners · chemicals · motor oil · batteries · pesticides · tires · medical waste · friable asbestos · appliances · poles over 6 feet long · stumps over 30 inches in diameter

What happens if I go over the weight limit?

Every rental includes 1.5 tons. Anything over that is $125 per ton, based on the actual scale weight at the landfill.

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

No. Just tell us where you’d like the dumpster placed when you book, or mark the spot on site with a cone, stake, or piece of cardboard.

One thing to plan for: if you want to load through the rear barn door, leave at least 7½ feet of clear space behind the dumpster so the door can swing fully open.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

It shouldn’t. If you’d rather not take the chance, just ask — we carry boards and roll-off skates and can set the dumpster down on those to protect the surface.

Do I need a permit?

If the dumpster is going on the street within Durango city limits, you’ll need a right-of-way permit from the city.

Do you offer same-day delivery?

In most cases, yes. Same-day delivery isn’t something you can lock in online — give us a call at 970-236-6277 and we’ll tell you what we can do today.

What payment methods do you take?

Cash, check, credit card, and debit card. Choosing credit card at checkout takes you to a secure payment page where you can use Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express card.

Can I swap a full dumpster for an empty one?

Yes. A swap works as a brand-new rental — each rental covers one trip to the landfill, so the swap is priced the same as a new dumpster and the 14-day rental period starts over.

What areas do you serve?

Durango and the surrounding La Plata County communities — Bayfield, Hermosa, Hesperus, Ignacio, Mancos, Marvel, Purgatory / Durango Mountain Resort, Tiffany, Vallecito, and everywhere in between. If your project site is outside that radius, call us — we deliver farther out regularly.
